Fifteen-plus years in, she has defended everything from infractions to charges carrying life, and represents injured people against insurers who count on being outlasted.

Admitted in 2006 to the New York bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and to the Washington bar in 2017. She began in New York practicing labor and employment law — discrimination and wage-and-hour cases in state and federal court — and worked with community organizations on workers' rights. Shellie spent years in the corporate environment handling legal, business and personnel matters after graduating from the University of Washington and then the University of Oregon School of Law. She left to build a private practice focused on helping people who have suffered personal injuries — which means she knows how the other side thinks about your claim. Shellie is the firm's presence on the coast, in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties, and grew up on and around boats with a commercial fisherman in the family — which is why boating cases are something we actually handle rather than something we list.
